A wide range of University, government and non-government scholarships are available to domestic students commencing study. Selection is normally based on academic merit and demonstrated need.
Once you have enrolled in topics at Flinders University, you can apply for scholarships and scholarship groups that you may be eligible for via the Student System.
The Tertiary Access Payment (TAP) is a Commonwealth government payment of up to $5,000. It is a means tested support payment, available to regional and remote school-leavers who relocate in order to undertake full-time study, after completing year 12 or its equivalent. The payment is intended to help with the burden of expenses when relocating.
If you completed year 12 (or equivalent) in 2021 and are relocating to study at one of Flinders University's campuses you may be eligible for a TAP.
The Rex Elliot Wegener PhD Scholarship is a new research opportunity made possible through the generous donation made by Mrs Catherine Wegener in memory of her late husband Rex Elliot Wegener, who sadly passed away from malignant mesothelioma in 2017.
The Rex Elliot Wegener PhD Scholarship position will be supervised by Flinders University researcher, Associate Professor Sonja Klebe, and assist to advance our collective knowledge of treating patients with mesothelioma.
There are two projects under which this scholarship can be offered
Project 1. Characterising Mesothelioma cancer stem cells.
Project 2. Genomic profiling of rare subtypes of malignant mesothelioma
